Fraser Greenwell
I have been working in financial services since 2007. I started my career at the age of 17 with my first job at one the UK’s largest high street banks. I worked there for nearly seven years before joining one of the largest mortgage and protection brokers in the UK where I spent the next seven and a half successful years in advising and management positions. In 2022, I decided to make the move to join Northern Standard Mortgages and I haven't looked back since.
When I'm not working, you'll usually find me watching football or spending time with my wife. I’m a huge fan of Liverpool FC and have been all over the world to watch them play.
Vincent Wu
I'm a business graduate with a wealth of knowledge in business management and finance that specialises in mortgage and protection advice. I've been in financial services since 2012 with one of the UK's largest mortgage and protection brokers in both advisory and leadership roles. As a perfectionist with an energetic and outgoing attitude, my clients can relax in the knowledge that I'll deliver for them and their families when they need it most.
When I'm not in the office you'll find me spending time with my wife, two sons and dog on frequent trips to the Lake District, or at St James' Park watching my beloved Newcastle United.

Alex Waters - Mortgage and Protection Specialist
I have been working as a mortgage and protection advisor since 2014. I started out with the UK’s largest broker before moving on to a small brokerage specialising in adverse credit lending.
I went self employed in 2022 with the aim of supporting my clients from beginning to end, in a way that suits them. My approach to advising is friendly, relaxed and flexible, with the ultimate goal of making the mortgage and protection process as stress free as possible.
I have lived in Newcastle for 11 years after moving up from Teesside (which will explain the slightly strange accent) and I love everything about the city.
I adore everything property related and I am currently in the process of renovating my second home. I love to travel and have two very spoilt cats, Kevin & Peter who I will chat about at any given moment.
Grant Heywood - Mortgage and Protection Specialist
I have been working as a mortgage and protection specialist since 2014 at a leading mortgage broker in the UK.
I have a real passion for finance and problem solving and love nothing more than finding my clients the best possible mortgage and protection product, more so when other brokers have turned them away.
Outside of the office you will likely find me, my wife and two children walking the Northumberland coastal line. I still enjoy attempting to play football and have had years of mixed emotions following Sunderland.
Nicky Ling - Mortgage and Protection Specialist
I'm an experienced Mortgage and Protection Specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. I started in financial services in 2014 having previously worked in other customer facing roles but found my passion when I moved into the Mortgage and Protection market. I pride myself on always giving no nonsense advice to my client so we can work together to get the best outcomes at all times.
When I'm out of the office, I love walking with my wife and dog. I'm originally from Cumbria so frequently travel over to see family and spend days in the the lake district doing walks and hikes.
Nikki Dalgleish - Mortgage and Protection Specialist
I have 5 years' experience as a mortgage and protection broker, having worked with some of the industry's biggest names over those years spending 2 years specializing in all things New Build. My 10 years of people management before this has allowed me to tailor my approach to advice to be personable, individual and straightforward and I have enjoyed a successful career this far.
I pride myself in being accessible, knowledgeable and genuine. I look forward to my journey with Northern Standard and the freedom this will allow me to provide the top-quality advice I pride myself on but in a more relaxed, less stifled environment; allowing my clients the one-on-one time to make those life changing decision with no undue pressure and be involved in the process from start to finish with you all.
When I am not working I am usually found ferrying my son and 2 step sons to all things football or walking our dog for miles in the beautiful countryside of the North East. I have been humbled to volunteer with my local foodbank for the last 3 years and hope to continue giving more of my time to this invaluable service for years to come.
Patrick Jackson - Mortgage and Protection Specialist
I have been a Mortgage and Protection Specialist for the last 6 years working at some of the biggest brokerages across the UK. Before starting in the industry, I graduated in Psychology and Sport Sciences from Northumbria University. After university I worked in insurance for a year before moving into the mortgage and personal protection market.
When I'm not working, I spend most of my time looking after my dog, Opal, with my partner. The rest of my time is spent watching, playing and coaching football and cricket.
Daisy - Office Pooch
Hi, I'm Daisy. I'm the official Northern Standard Mortgages Office Pooch. I'm a cockapoo with many years experience of being cute and friendly. My job is to look cute around the office and to make sure the guys take regular breaks from their hard work to take me for walks and to give me attention.
Although Vinny is my human, I spend so much time in the office working that I have adopted the rest of the Northern Standard team as my humans too.
When I'm not working I love treats and belly rubs. I love going on holiday with my family to anywhere I can go for long walks and play outside.
